Short bio50 words

I write from Victoria, BC. Eight singles, five self-produced. Acoustic instruments running into synths, vocals that have been called bright and tender. My 2024 single "Crossroads" picked up indie blog coverage across Canada and Europe and is the song that taught me I could finish a record on my own.

Medium bio150 words

I write from Victoria, BC, after stops in Thunder Bay, Toronto, and most of the smaller rooms in between. Eight singles, five self-produced. Acoustic instruments running into synths, vocals that have been called bright and tender by people who didn't have to be polite about it.

My 2024 single "Crossroads" picked up indie blog coverage across Canada and Europe and is the song that taught me I could finish a record on my own. "Wicked Woman" (2022, self-produced) was tracked over a pulsating bass line and shot inside a 1930s mansion I had no business being in. Earlier work with producer Adam Sutherland — including "Bad to the Hyde" (2019) — shaped the sound. There's an experimental electronic chapter from a Toronto bedroom-studio still in the catalog if you go looking for it.

Long bio200 words

Christine Savard is a creative director working across communications, marketing, original music, and sonic branding. Fifteen years of practice has taken her through nonprofit, healthcare, architecture, and public-sector work, including eight years at Iredale Architecture coordinating proposals across engineers and partners on $5M–$30M institutional, civic, and commercial projects. Most recently she has served as communications and marketing lead in the healthcare nonprofit sector.

As a recording artist, she has self-released eight singles, five of them self-produced, all mastered at Sterling Sound in New York by Joe LaPorta. Her 2024 single "Crossroads" was picked up by the Hype Machine on release and covered across Tinnitist, DNü, Music for the Misfits, and BKonthescene. Earlier work with producer Adam Sutherland — including "Bad to the Hyde" (2019) — shaped the sound. She co-directed the 2022 music video for "Wicked Woman," tracked over a pulsating bass line and shot inside a 1930s mansion. The catalog is cinematic indie, one-stop clearance, with masters and publishing held independently.

The work she takes on now uses both. She is based in Victoria, BC, and available for senior in-house roles and project-based engagements in healthcare, B Corp, public sector, and arts-adjacent organizations.

Press

What was written down

Press on two singles across four indie music publications in Canada, the UK, and the US. "Crossroads" (2024) and "Wicked Woman" (2022) — both earned through direct outreach, no publicist.

  1. The track’s multilayered instrumentation features strings, synths, sax, lap steel guitar, a flute solo, and a siren introduction — for the lady is a siren, after all — to cinematic effect.

  2. Hailing from Victoria, BC, singer-songwriter Christine Savard makes a striking first impression with her DNü debut, ‘Crossroads’.

  3. On her latest single releases, she combined reverb-drenched guitar lines with a soft vintage feel amplified by her voice that sounds as thick and sweet as honey.

  4. The Victoria-based singer/songwriter/producer’s ‘Wicked Woman’ adds to the classic tradition of love-at-your-own-risk songs with her smoky-smooth vocals, flowing melody line, pulsating bass, and no-nonsense lyrics.
