About

Christine Savard

I'm a creative director working across communications, marketing, original music, and sonic branding. Based in Victoria, BC.

Eight years coordinating architecture proposals across engineers and partners taught me to write under pressure. Producing my own records taught me to listen for what works. The work I take on now uses both.

The broader practice takes in video direction, sonic branding, and voice coaching, alongside fifteen years of communications and marketing and eight self-released singles mastered at Sterling Sound by Joe LaPorta.

Taking on two new engagements for spring 2026.

Narrative

The recording artist side

I've been recording and self-producing since before the communications work paid consistently. Earlier work with producer Adam Sutherland — including "Bad to the Hyde" (2019) — shaped the sound and the discipline. The 2024 single "Crossroads," which I self-produced, was picked up by Hype Machine on release and covered across Tinnitist, DNü, Music for the Misfits, and BKonthescene.

What ties it together

Strategic thinking about story, and the artifacts that prove it. The brief, the campaign, the score, and the film come from the same practice. That matters because the sound already knows the strategy instead of learning it after the handoff, and the campaign isn't waiting on a score that was briefed by someone who wasn't in the room. For clients who have worn out their patience managing vendors who don't talk to each other, that compression is the value.

I am rarely the cheapest option for any of these in isolation. I am often the cheapest option for the combination.

How I work

Editorial restraint. Evidence over adjectives. The work shows up before the marketing copy does. Acoustic instruments running into synths on the records; named projects, named publications, and dollar figures on the proposals. The architectural register I learned across eight years at Iredale carried into everything else: measured, structurally aware, no decoration.

Currently

I take a small number of engagements at a time. Three to six months inside a single organization runs deeper than a dozen projects handled at surface level. The strategy, the execution, and the judgment calls all stay in one place, which is where the work actually improves. Currently exploring senior in-house roles and 3-month engagements in healthcare, B Corp, public sector, and arts-adjacent organizations.

If you want to go further: selected work, press, or the inquiry form.
